The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed shooting guard Nik Stauskas for the rest of the season, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Stauskas was acquired by the Cavs in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers centered on Rodney Hood last week. Stauskas was then traded to the Houston Rockets, who traded him to the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers waived him and he entered free agency.

Stauskas, 25, has averaged 6.1 points, 1.6 boards and 1.4 assists in 15.3 minutes in 44 games, all off the bench, for the Blazers this season, with a shooting line of 41.9/34.4/88.9. His 42 percent from the field is a career best.

The 6-6, 205-pound guard was taken with the eighth overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Sacramento Kings out of Michigan. He was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2015, with the Sixers dealing him to the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 7, 2017. He signed as a free agent with the Trail Blazers on July 5 last summer.
