Omaha Police visit Nebraska Medicine

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – This week is National Police Week. The week is set aside to honor and appreciate police officers, especially those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Tuesday, Omaha Police brought a police cruiser, motorcycle and members of the horse patrol to Nebraska Medicine to visit with pediatric patients.

Most of the patients are recovering from organ transplants or cancer treatment, and for many this is their first time meeting a police officer, each got their own badge.
